Anchors of Lighting Design & Sound Development

Instruments of Lighting and Special Effects

Incandescent lighting instruments multi-cell LED ground rows, LED movers, and pin spots are used to select the audience's eyes to follow the groovy journey of our characters from Canaan to Egypt and back again. Special effects that include fog, hazing, disco balls, and confetti cannons further punctuate the story.

Lighting Design and Storytelling

The lighting in SCS’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is an active participant in the storytelling process. Whether the stage is bursting with color in ensemble numbers or narrowing to a pinpoint to capture a moment on the stage, the lighting reflects the characters’ emotional journeys. In a production centered around energy, faith, and transformation, the lighting design ensures that every moment is portrayed exactly as it should be.

Music, Orchestral Layout, Mic Mapping

The mic mapping details everything relating to mics; who wears them, when they go on and off stage, organization of the story, and how to care for them.

Orchestral needs are charted out to amplify the sounds of the score as well as the comedic sound effects.
